TOLES: TEST OF LEGAL ENGLISH

I want to share with you a course I will be teaching later this year: TOLES (Test of Legal English).

I’m particularly looking forward to this one as I know the course content is already meeting a demand in many countries all over the world. Since 2000 TOLES has been recognized by institutions such as the European Court of Justice, the European Central Bank, Baker and McKenzie, and more. So, as the only TOLES provider in Central America, I am excited to bring this proven track record of success to this region. 

TOLES is available in three levels: Foundation, Higher, and Advanced. Each level arms you with the legal English you need for an international commercial law firm or an in-house legal team. It’s also a positive step for legal translators. TOLES is a member of the International Division of the Law Society of England and Wales so you know you’ll be acquiring top-notch drafting skills, first-class negotiating skills, and a strong sense of commercial awareness. 

How It All Began…

In confidential talks with TOLES about 20 years ago, international firms complained that law graduates holding English language certificates lacked the level of English needed to carry out essential legal tasks. And that’s how it all began… Through extensive field research, TOLES materials and exams have been developed as a direct solution to this problem.
